OVERVIEW

Western Disposal is one of the most prominent waste disposal companies in Colorado. They came to us wanting to restructure and redsign their website because users were having trouble navigating through it. I have never seen a website with so much content on it. Usually creating a new sitemap is pretty straightforward, but reorganizing all of the content turned out to be a huge job. After combing through countless pages and subpages, I think we were finally able to come up with a solution that is much more intuitive for users. The design was tricky to balance with so much content to display. To compliment all the copy, I created a ton of graphics including custom icons, detailed illustrations of their roll-off containers and dumpsters, an educational infographic on the benefits of compost, and even a proposed online game to teach kids what can and can't be recycled. In the end we were able to deliver a cleaner, more intuitive website, and now Western's customer service doesn't have to spend nearly as much time answering simple questions.
